Welcome Rachel Wiles to the KCI Team!
See below for a brief introduction from Rachel:
My PR Journey:
Growing up in Pittsburgh, I quickly discovered the power of a close-knit community and its impact on our lives. This realization inspired my career in public relations, where I’m passionate about working with clients who genuinely make a difference in our community.
At the University of Florida, where I majored in public relations, my enthusiasm for communications truly ignited. Through working with nonprofits, as well as becoming a member of environmental organizations such as Unlitter, I knew there was an outlet to use my degree for positive change.
After four years in Florida, I returned home to Pittsburgh, eager to positively impact my community and advance my career. I spent two years at a Boston-based agency before joining Krakoff Communications, I knew my role as Communications Associate would be a perfect fit. I’m looking forward to applying my prior agency and nonprofit experience to this position to ensure the desired stories of our clients are delivered strategically and purposefully.
More About Me:
Outside of work, I like to indulge in my passion for sports, music, film, horseback riding and the restaurant industry. If there is a Penguins game on, you can count on me either being at the game or watching it on any available screen. Additionally, I am always eager to speak with others about their top movie picks! My favorite director is Alfred Hitchcock, but I have a soft spot for both Tim Burton and Steven Spielberg.
I’ve also embraced my love for food, exploring Pittsburgh’s dining scene, and sharing my culinary adventures on Instagram to guide fellow food enthusiasts to great local spots. Since a young age, I have always enjoyed writing “food critic reviews.” When I was old enough to hold a pencil and spell somewhat accurately, I began writing my food-centric opinions.
Overall, my journey from Pittsburgh to Florida and back has been driven by a deep commitment to community and a passion for meaningful communication. Through my professional work and personal interests, I am dedicated to contributing to the vibrant fabric of my hometown and sharing its unique offerings with others.
